There are advantages to buying one over the internet, price being one and the assurance you are in fact getting an all-region player. That doesn't mean you can't get a good price and region free player from a store. Most sales clerks at stores seem to be surprisingly uninformed when it comes to region free players. You're lucky if they're on the same page with you. Despite having said that, I've bought two region-free players (Philips DVP642 & Philips DVP 5140) at Fry's and Target respectively for a good price. I DO NOT recommend buying a Coby.
