Is there a website etc to check this? I live in Australia and want to find out if my XBOX 360 or dvd player will play DVDS from the US???

Ours wasn't. We took it back to the DVD shop and they made it multiregional for free.

Australia is in Region Code 4.
So if your DVD player is region 4, any DVD disc with region code 4 should work.
