How To Burn Files To a DvD in Windows 7?

Habib

I have installed windows 7 and tried to burn files to a DVD but i couldn't do it.
i put a Blank Dvd To My writer drive, then i go to my computer and double click on dvd writer drive,
it opens a blank window, so i drag four or five movies(.Flv) into that blank window then i right click and select 'burn to DVD' then new window appears which about speed. i select 4X which is normal i think..
then burning process starts,, but after a while it gives an error that it couldn't burn the files to DVD...
there are three options first is: try again with different Disk: second is :Save the files and try to burn 'em later: third i don't remember...
tell me is there a problem in my dvd writer drive or i'm doin' it the wrong way..
thanx

Answer
⺠Burning DVD's Easily â (For Playback on standard DVD Players)

* Nero Vision - By Far the Best Program To Burn DVD Movies *

* DVD Flick - By Far the Best Free Program To Burn DVD Movies *

DVD Flick -> http://download.cnet.com/DVD-Flick/3000-7970_4-10972785.html

DVD Flick Requires IMGBurn To Burn the Movie...
IMGBurn -> http://download.cnet.com/ImgBurn/3000-2646_4-11673524.html

After Downloading & Installing DVD Flick & IMGBurn, Run DVD Flick..

Hit 'Add Title' Up top Right.. Navigate and Select your Movie..

Then hit 'Project Settings' Up Top.. Hit the 'Burning' Tab..

Tick 'Burn Project to Disc' & Hit 'Use As Defaults' & 'Accept'.

If you Wish to Add a Crappy Menu then Hit 'Menu Settings'.

Now Hit 'Create DVD' Up Top.. It Will Begin Transcoding/Converting..

You Can Hit 'Entertain me' & Play Tetris if you wish :P

Once Done IMGBurn will Load & Burn the Movie Automatically..

So Make sure you have a Blank DVD In the Drive Otherwise..

You will have to Transcode it all over again.

Also a stupid message pops up when you start a new project Warning..
You that it will delete the Old Project.. Just hit Yes.

Hope it helps :)

Media player for Windows 7?

What are some good media players for Windows 7? (No iTunes 11)

Answer
Hi, For audio there's winamp media player, songbird, media monkey, foobar2000, and so on. Daum potplayer below is made by the same guy who made the famous kmplayer. Links below

For video the best players are VLC media player by videolan, media player classic home cinema, kmplayer, daum potplayer, smplayer, or gom player. My favorite is VLC and daum potplayer. They both play pretty much anything including DVD's with their own codecs. If you set all the settings in daum potplayer to your liking it is the best player.

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (Official site of VLC player by videolan. Free and virus free! It will download from sourceforge.) Pay attention while installing, if you don't want files associated with VLC then uncheck that option during setup. If you want after installing you can right click on the video file and choose to play with VLC.

To play DVD with VLC - open VLC - in taskbar at top click on media - then click open disk.

http://www.dvbsupport.net/download/index.php?act=view&id=230 (Daum Potplayer latest stable version. Click on the big blue button to download it. You don't have to install the potplayer live files and you can ignore the directx update message.

After installing open it up and right click on it - in the video tab - set video renderer to overlay mixer for some computers. You may want to change the aspect ratio options also. You can manage file associations - right click - preferences - association tab.

To play a DVD with potplayer - right click on it on the second open tab popout click "open DVD' or on the last tab to open your "CD/DVD" drive

I hope this helps you out. Good luck!
